SPRINGFIELD – The Massachusetts Gaming Commission met Wednesday in executive session to discuss a letter to MGM Resorts International addressing safety and security at the company’s Springfield casino.
The closed-door executive session was allowed under state law “to discuss the use and deployment of security personnel or devices, or strategies with respect thereto at gaming establishments,” according to the meeting agenda and to a statement that the commission’s chair, Cathy Judd-Stein, read into the record.
The commission did not come back into public session and members never specified what the issue is.
